William Davidson

(Western District and Archdiocese of Glasgow) Born in Tornintoul, 22nd November 1854; recalled by Archbishop Eyre, 1876, sent to St. Peter’s Seminary, Partickhill, and ordained a priest, 24th June 1877; at St. Mary’s, Paisley, from 1903 until 1924, when he retired; a canon of the Glasgow chapter; died in Paisley, 7th December 1926.

The Rev. William Davidson was born at Tomintoul on the 22nd November, 1854; entered Blairs College in July, 1866; and was sent in November, 1870, to the Scots College, Valladolid, where he passed through the usual course of rhetoric, philosophy, and theology. In August, 1876, he went to continue his theological studies at Partickhill, and was ordained Priest on the 24th June, 1877. He has been appointed assistant to the Rev. H. Chisholm, Johnstone.
